I will never give it a break. I have myself said that everything needs patches. I have always been the first to admit that. But MS has always been one to have to patch a patch. You can almost always count on their last patch breaking something. You chose to latch on to the part of my post that referred to patches anf not make any mention of the rest of it. Like the fact that I did call this a good thing in the respect that it will make more advanced and secure security measures available to the masses at an affordable level. As for my precious Apple, sure they need patches. And when they have to patch something the way MS patches something then d@mn skippy I will take Apple to task for it. I personally prefer a Mac. That's my choice. If you prefer MS then that's your choice. We are all prone to defend what we prefer. And the horse obviously isn't dead if it still happens.
