Verizon won't need to hand customer data over like AT&T when clerical fubars like this will practacly open up the databases to whomever wants it, even if they don't ask for it.

Sh[patch] like this makes me wonder if the telcos are actually working for the government regime, especially since they've been trying to hijack the Internet.
