Microsoft today patched the patch that they released August 8. That's all.

The August 8 patch was a "cumulative" patch for IE, which it appears they release every couple months or so. I wouldn't call each successive cumulative patch a "patch on a patch on a patch on a patch..." If that's the case, then Firefox 1.0.6 is a patch on a patch on a patch on a patch as well.
