I wouldn't say most flawed...
but I'd definitely say most. I doubt there's a company in existence right now with more lines of active software code. The reason Microsoft has more software bugs than any other company is they have probably 100 times the number of lines of code in production as their closest competitor. The real number is almost certainly more than 100 times, but we'll use that as a baseline. They're currently supporting several dozen flavors of operating systems, several dozen office applications, groupware servers, fully functional ERP systems, utility server applications, web applications, virtualization applications, developer tools, etc, etc, etc. Working for a Microsoft Gold partner, I get to see the littany of applications they release each month. It's mind boggling. No single company could ever develop that much code effectively. No ten companies could ever develop that much code effectively. Success is slowly killing Microsoft from the inside. It's going to take something drastic to stem the tide. A federally mandated breakup could have helped. It's clear that internally Microsoft still hasn't recognized the problem. As long as they don't see the problem, they'll never take the steps necessary to fix it.
