Not likely....
It is not likely that a software prgoram totally trashed one of your computers or even two of your computers.
It isn't even likely that a virus would cause permanent damage to a piece of hardware in your computers.

I have used Norton products for many years, starting back on my Windows 95 computer. I never had them cause any hardware failures, ever. This is the first time I have even HEARD of anyone having these things happen.
It could just be a coincidence that after you installed SystemWorks 2006, your computer hard drives crashed. If they were new computers, and from the same lot number, it could be that you got lemon drives from the manufacturer.
I would have to install SystemWorks on the system AFTER the first two hard drives were wrecked, and have it happen again, before I could say that it was definitely the software in question.
