who will make up this organization? It definitely can't be the security vendors or the OS vendor, they are definitely biased. We always see, "this isn't a problem", "we're working on a fix" and yet, neither ever get accomplished by either vendor. Until there's a trust given to said vendors, this simply will not work in any shape or form. I doubt any of the companies you think that would be viable candidates would be given any trust by the users, we have to deal with their situations. I wouldn't trust MS, CA, Symantec, Apple, Novell, Redhat, etc. as far as i could throw them. They don't give a hoot about us users, they care about 1 thing and thats it. They care about our wallet, and until we speak with our wallets, nothing will ever get done.
