If they have the right to investigate your PC...
...then surely they should have the right to investigate what's on it? That's why they got the courts permission to access the computers in the first place. Unless, of course, they just want to use it as a door stop.

As for the pursuit of happiness, does that mean all sadists, paedophiles, sex offenders, and robbers are allowed to perform their evil acts because they make them happy? :-S

This is a Britsh law, so the US constitution doesn't enter the equation.
