Everyone's rights are more important than any child.
Sorry, but if the cost of protecting a child is the loss of my rights then to heck with the child.

Look, as much as mommies like to get all excited over kids there is nothing that sets their rights above everyone elses. Hmmm, an example. When our fore fathers decided to go to war to secure our rights from England, they knew full well there would be innocents killed, and that includes children. And yet, they fully believed the rights you and I enjoy were worth the cost, even to children.

And finnaly, "revenge" is not more important than everyone's rights. Sending a perp to jail does nothing to help the victim, all your really after is revenge. I suppose that you could argue that the person won't do it again but the facts say your wrong. When criminals get out of prison, the vast majority go right back to their life of crime.
