Same thought I had. But even more to the point.
Gee, if I were guilty and was looking at say 15 or 20 years for the crime, or a year or two for not giving up the key it's kind of a no brainer.

At least in the US all they can do is put you away for contempt of court and those jail sentences seem to not last very long. Either the judge gives in or the person gets it reviewed by a higher court and if they find you aren't going to talk regardless you get kicked free.
