Imagine the impact on DRM.
For those that advocate DRM fo one reason or another, the government (in thei case that of Great Britain) could mandate a back door. How long until this sort of issue comes to light in the States and the Yanks get to deal with the ramifications? Imagine if you will, some criminals or terrorists start using DRM to protect comunications and plans, there will be screaming by all manner of patiotic criters saying that there should be a back door to get at the information protected by DRM.

Just something to think about.
