I couldn't say linux was to blame

I would put more blame on the sys admin who failed to patch his machine, not the linux distribution itself. We all know that no OS is inherently secure, no matter hich one it is. Yes, i've seen everything from BSD to windows with problems that come from wanna be computer admins or employee's who double as the computer geek, leave these known vulerabilities unpatched. Luckily enough i keep up to date with these problems and inform my users on them, so that keeps me safe from problems, and keeps the consulting fees rolling in. I truely cannot say that if people are running BSD, they'd be any safer when it comes to Admins not knowing what they are doing, so loverock, you can step down from your soapbox.
