Tens of millions? Try a hundred.
ZDNet on Friday reports: "Tens of millions of Windows users have already downloaded that fix, Microsoft's Security Response Team said on a corporate blog earlier this week."

Whereas if you actually look at the linked blog entry (from Thursday), you will read "we've had well over 100 million downloads of the update".

As far as perception goes, this one order of magnitude makes quite a difference.
