Finally MS does something right...
... yet the self appointed "experts" on this site still cry foul.

What is it that you would like MS to do then? If they leave holes then you all cry about them when we hear another security flaw has been exposed. Yet when MS tries to close the backdoors then the haters still cry foul, citing anti-competition rubbish. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. It's like saying to a company that they shouldn't make their buildings more secure because it will put the security company that's been contracted to provide security guards, out of business.

Basing one's entire business model on fixing or extending the functionality of another product, which you have no control over, is always a risky venture. These security companies should have thought about those things and go cry elsewhere. Especially Symantec, who should stick their rubbish, I mean software, somewhere else.

This is the only way to go about increasing security. Any backholes for the "good guys" will be a serious issue. How do you differentiate between the good guys and the bad guys. And even if you could it will take one disgruntled employee from the good guys to release the "good guy" authentication algorithm to the other side. There is no anti-competition argument here. MS is simply implementing features which should have existed in the operating system in the first place.
