Do you wait that long before applying any security patches? If so, you are contributing to the global security problem by leaving your system unsecured.

If a serious security flaw is discovered in ANY O/S, it is the user or admin's responsibility to fix it. No O/S is perfect (MS is worse than most, though) and people refusing to acknowledge the problem and fix known issues is why some of the virii and bugs spread so quickly.
