it is not that simple as many let you belive...
I have worked with RFID tags , and created some software to encode and decode them for a project I was working on. it is not that simple (although not that hard iether) to use, create or copy them. however it is all depends on the system that you are using them with. the RFId chip has nothing in it except a number. on it's own the number means nothing to anyone except the system it is used with. even if the new chip allows you to store some more info alongside the number if it is encripted and you can not read the info it is OK.

I have been reading things like well we can copy the number and use it to create falcified documents (HOW?) if I am reading the number remotley and make a copy. Let say I create pasport and place the copy of the chip on it. what about other info.

if the pasport is for the JK Smith and the info encoded is for DW Bush how will it work? if the chip is used to fetch info from the main system along with the photo, what then?

I do aggree that as a single security mesure for everyday use RFID chip is not the best thing but what is? you still need some other system to verify that the id used to gain acsess is used by authorised person so the smart card need not only open the door but also turn on the camera for face recognition module or voice recognition module as well to simply record the use of the entry device.(i.e. the door happy ). it used to be easy to clone the cellphone id and make free(for the haker) calls, well it was fixed and not it is not that easy to do phone clonning. it will be the same with RFID.

As for privacy.... well it is a moot issue. I belive we have no more privacy now then we will in the future, it just the perception that will change.
