Many People???
>>Many people are switching to Ubuntu because the don't trust WindowsXP and they don't believe that there will be any advancement with Vista.<<

C'mon Ice, your posts are getting old and you don't seem to miss a story without a knock on MS.

I've been using MS for many years and have never had a "security breech" that Norton, Mail Washer, or ZoneAlarm didn't catch. I'm online 5-10 hrs. a day, try many shareware and trialware programs but I'm careful where I go and what I click "OK" on.

And yes I've tried your beloved Linux in it's many flavors many times and just don't like it. The latest try was SUZE and things went fine until I couldn't find drivers for the D-Link PCI wireless network card that would work (and I spent hours searching). Without a network to get on the Net the installation was worthless. One day Linux may "grow up" and work like MS and may in fact be more secure but that day still isn't here.

The "many people" I know look at Linux as a toy or more specifically an Internet browsing toy that makes them feel safe on the Net. With readily available software protection programs and a little common sense Windows is as safe and stable as Linux or any other current OS. The stupid people can't use Linux because it's too complicated to setup, find drivers, and then have to learn a whole new way of doing things.

In the meantime MOST of us will stay with XP and probably even upgrade to VISTA [with Windows Live-OneCare happy ].
