Who are the Black Hats?
The most effective members of the security community are present at the Black Hat convention. Quite a few of them are former hackers. It does indeed take a theif to catch a theif. MS ploy, genuine or not, is the correct one. If you are going to test code for security, do it with those who routinely try to break it. The notion that this is a convention of those who intend to scam Windows and other operating systems is incorrect.
