McAfee came pre-installed on a new pc. Gave it a trial run and was frustrated by it's constant need to "verify" by logging onto a website everytime it updated. And that process really didn't work well through Firefox. It's not as bad a resource hog as Norton, but it still ate up a lot of the processor.

Getting rid of it was a hassle and required some tinkering in the registry and doing several file/folder searches.

McAfee (and Norton) used to have good, solid products up until the early 90s. Too bad they've become nothing but bloatware.
