Par for the course
Don't look for any rhyme or reason behind the post deletion decisions here at ZDNet. I once saw them delete a post that pointed out the very real difference between the term "MAC" (which stands for Media Access Control--the unique addressing identifier used in most networks) and "Mac", which is the common nickname for Apple's Macintosh computer. You'd think that such a semantic distinction would be entirely appropriate for a forum of this kind. Evidently, ZDNet doesn't agree.

I'll bet your post was just fine. It probably was reported as being "offensive" by someone with impaired ability to appreciate any level of intellectual subtlety.
