Credit Cards would be better
...use a Credit Card!

Chargebacks against a CC are much more effective since a) you don't own the goods until you have paid the bill and b) The merchant has to prove that YOU bought the goods... or eat the cost.

With a bank account or Debit card, they already have your money and will tend to give you the run-around until you go away.

I have a CC that I use for online purchases with "untrusted" companies. It has a credit limit of only a few hundred dollars. Worst case I am on the hook for that amount.

Aside from that, I hardly use Credit cards at all.
