Why not start making same?
Yes, the off-topic stuff is tiresome but more tiresome are people who complain about the off-topic stuff...which is off-topic if the post is just a complaint. Why not use the space to say something "sensible".

Just to be consistent: I can't help hoping that all of the anti-virus activity of the last few years has helped Microsoft realize that it's OS and browser models were born in an era of hopeless naivete. Let's hope that Vista was built with a more realistic approach to who is out there.
