Sorry, but you are quite confused
ActiveX is not scripting. You don't write an 'ActiveX' script. You can create compiled ActiveX controls or components in C++ or VB that scripts written in Javascript or VBScript can interact with, but there is no scripting language called 'ActiveX'. ActiveX is a subset of COM that requires fewer interface points than the full featured OLE automation.

Also, COM is not a distributed communication device. COM, which stands for Component Object Model, was the name given to the technology behind OLE 2.0 when it was developed in 1992. It was later expanded to include Distributed COM or DCOM which later became COM+ when it was merged more directly with MSMQ.
