A NEW ROUND of pain starts (and we are not talking about middle-east ...)
`` Researchers at Cupertino, Calif.-based Symantec examined the new networking technology in recent test releases of Vista, Microsoft's next major operating system release, according to the report. They found several security bugs and determined that Vista's networking technology will be less stable, at least in the short run, than Windows XP's, the report said.''

How hard it is to RETROFIT GOOD DESIGN. Apparently, XP's code needs to be replaced with one that makes more sense at this time and age. It is like trying to replace the frame and utility infrastructure of a "live" building on the fly with a more fitting one.

MS's motto: play yesterday, not design yesterday, pay NOW sad

"Microsoft has removed a large body of tried and tested code and replaced it with freshly written code, complete with new corner cases and defects," the researchers wrote in the report, scheduled for publication Tuesday. "This may provide for a more stable networking stack in the long term, but stability will suffer in the short term."

I kept saying that Vista is like XP (at least in the services / features offered to users) but apparently NEW and UNTESTED code is finding its way into the kernel, replacing tested and more stable one.

So, VIsta is (as I have been saying) ushering the era of NEW ROUNDS of instabilities and insecurities for the ms windWoes users. ALl the 100s or 1000s of man-hours they have already spent in maintaining and reinstalling XP is simply lost and the endless cycle of dealing with NEW types of defects and code is starting from scratch.

There is solution: do not use ms windwoes anymore and enjoy STABLE and SECURE systems. At least BY FAR MORE SECURE and STABLE than what MS windows is ....
