I guess I'm missing the point of your critisism. Seemed like the article was a fair, though casual, account of DNS. Was there some omission or inaccuracy? What is your specific complaint about the topic starter?

Millions of users revert to the default DNS server provided by their ISP. Why shouldn't there be some fair use alternative?

I can say from personal observation; some DNS servers seem to be highly prone to sending people to the wrong site. This is really unacceptable and people should know why it is happening.

Clearly, not all DNS servers are created equal in terms of providing accurate and consistent results.

I'm guessing that a professionally managed DNS service would be benefit to some readers. It's probably worth writing and reading about.

Although when using a service like this, or even a DNS server provided by your company, you should be aware that activity can be monitored, sold, traced, etc.
