The definitions of a virus/worm/bot whatever have been so screwed up by the media these past 5 years even your definitions no longer apply.
It annoys me too but there's nothing anyone can do about it. A worm is now a virus, a virus is now a worm, and a bot use to be only associated to IRC's. Oh well, I'm waiting for a new lexicon addition called maybe... ahhh... NUKE! Once you're infected you're whole system is gone, bye-bye.
