Bzzt - wrong answer
"The Outlook interface existed long before Groupnotsowise came out. Sorry - better luck next time."

Irrelevant. And your bias is showing.

Outlook as it appears now and how it will appear (according to the beta I've seen) is irrelevant to the appearance of GroupWise 7 (released in August of 2005) as GroupWise has shifted it's appearance in a PRODUCTION version long before Office 2007 made it to BETA version.

Couple with the fact that GroupWise 7 was in production for over a year as well let's us conclude that Microsoft simply copied Novell.

Unless you seriously want us to believe that Microsoft had the interface for Outlook locked down before it went public beta and somehow Novell got ahold of a private/closed/internal Microsoft alpha release of Outlook.

In that case, I would suggest your tinfoil beenie is on too tight.
