Your Average User
You give far too much credit to the average computer user. A whole lot of people simply click "OK" or "RUN" or whatever is needed to get where they are trying to go.

You are not an average computer user. You know better than to run unknowns on your computer. But there are a LOT of people who don't know better. They just click, and if their computer doesn't crash then they don't think there is a problem.
