well I doubt they were originally made to run windows and Office
they were created to run programs like AutoCAD, which does run fairly well under wine, photoshop, things that aren't written for Linux. I guess in your closed mind you would think it's only for windows and office, but you have a very short thought process, so i'll forgive you this once. I would have to say, the majority of users for this kind of software are using it for everything OTHER than office and windows, they did make a choice. Why would you move to linux if you wanted to use office, that would be No_ax kind of thinking. I'm sure some use it for office, not for windows, but that is their choice, and i highly doubt the majority use office at all on linux. There's a reason they choice OSX or linux in the first place.

These people writing things like wine created it to work on programs not available for linux, OSX BSD. They needed to run certain programs, and this helped them with it. Now these people are making it available to all windows products, they see a market in this. Guess no business would look for something somebody wanted and sell it to them eh? Maybe there is a market, and this is just a catcher? Ever think about that? Apparently not.

Oh yeah, because you are wrong, again...
