Clarification: printing
If its true you can't do something as simple as print with Wine, it's nothing but a slowly cooling corpse. I can't believe that, tho.

You most certainly can print from WINE. You are, however, limited to the printing capabilities of the underlying system so if you have an MS-only printer WINE won't solve it for you.
