You seem to be misinformed
It's not all subjective. IE7 is a pretty good browser from what I've seen so far, but IE6 is not. There are a plethora of justifications to not use IE beyond hating Microsoft. Its Trident rendering engine does not conform to web standards well and many developers had to use hacks to get sites to work correctly. Then there are the (lazy) ones who see IE6 rendering their broken code correctly and think it's fine. I'd also like to know your source on exploits, since Secunia lists Firefox as having 4 (highest being Less critical) and IE6 as having 20 (highest being Moderately critical); it must be so secretive that only you know. Firefox is far from perfect, but it isn't difficult to see that it's better than IE6.

If you actually read this article you'd see that the security arguments are not null, but at least IE7+ should significantly reduce holes if their "sandbox" technique is executed as well as they claim. And since when do users pick things they dislike?
