What I said is that it probably affected more people than Microsoft said that it did.

Microsoft said it affected everyone who used custom dial-up scripting. You say it affected more because lots of people use dial-up scripting. That point, while debatable, does nothing to prove that MS underestimated how many people this affected. Sounds to me like they were right on in their estimates. Agree? Disagree?

You may think it is funny or a non-issue because it affects so few of the computer users out there but I can assure you that the people it does affect are not laughing.

Where did I even suggest this was funny or was a non-issue? You need to provide a link because I contend that I've done nothing of the sort. What I have done (and I stand by my words) is corrected people when they suggested that all dial-up users were affected. All dial-up users were not affected. I've said no more or less than that. If you read more into my post, that is your problem, not mine. While you might not have come out and specifically said all, you seem to be standing firm in your belief that a larger segment of dial-up users were affected yet you refuse to provide any sort of evidence for your FUD.

So even 1 person or company being affected is one too many.

Agreed, which is why it is a good thing that MS fixed this, wouldn't you say? I never said it was okay that 1 person was affected. What I can't stand is FUD and people who said that all dial-up users were affected were spreading FUD. Even you were spreading FUD by stating that more people were affected than MS originally let on.

And it seems as if there is more to this than MS is letting on.

And it seems to me as if I look like a Greek God. I really can't back that up but it sure is fun to just say things, isn't it?! So far, you have offered absolutely nothing to suggest that MS was wrong when they said this affected custom scripted dial-up users. This is the 3rd post where I've asked for a tiny bit of evidence to back up your FUD. This is the 3rd time you will dissapoint me, I'm sure.
