Apple updates Mac OS to squash bugs

Choice and stupidity.

At the end of the day, its about user choice and what they want to achieve with the system that dictates what OS they use.
I have a PC, with 3 operating systems on, FreeBSD, Windows 2003 and Windows Vista. I also have a Sun SPARC box that runs Solaris.
The thing is though, I use the different operating systems to do different things, obviously the Solaris system is ideal for Java development, the Windows 2003 system is ideal for Visual Studio development, which is arguably the best IDE available.
At the end of the day its about choice!
Windows isn't crap, Linux isn't crap, Solaris isn't crap, Macs are excellent for graphic design........

If people want to go around slagging operating systems off just because they have a few vunerabilities, fair enough. But that is no reason to call an operating system crap or inferior. At the end of the day, if users were a bit more sensible, kept AV signatures updated and didn't go on to dubious websites and download crapware, a lot of the viruses wouldn't propogate as much as they do at the moment.
It's not the operating system that isn't secure, generally its the user MAKING it insecure.
