- How about an Active Whois utility like Firefox has?
-
For you IE lusers out there, Active Whois is a plugin for Firefox that lets you get the whois info on a web page. Just click on an icon when a page is visable and you get the owner's whois. Even better, you can right-click on a link and select "Activate whois on link" to get the info.
About the only problem with it is that the person who made it decided to be a profiteering buttmunch and charge $20 to remove the nags, even though there's no sign that the money goes to support the opensource community.
I know about other ways to lookup whois from websites to standalone executables, but they're just not as convienient as the active plugin. It should be ported to IE and all other browsers, but charging $20... I'm a little suspicious about that. - Posted by: Mr. Roboto Posted on: 06/27/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
