OK, although it sounds as if the exploit became possible after MS issued
the "fix".

Apparently the geniuses at Microsoft think that people who rely on those type of connections are too rare to worry about. So now the danger is that if you rely on a script for dial-up networking, you have to uninstall the patch to get it to work.

First, repeatedly breaking one thing in the process of fixing something else shows ineptitude and lack of clear headedness.

Second, breaking the dialin process is a SHOWSTOPPER for all those who rely on it. If you cannot connect to the Internet you are simply completely cut off.

Third, the number of dial-in users is NOT INSIGNIFICANT, especially in other countries.

Fourth, claiming that "these customers" do not deserve being treated as such, is lame.
