MS knew exactly what they were doing.
They aren't sorry, and they won't be unless people start to migrate away from their stuff en masse.

I said "no" when they decided on their Activation scheme. That was it for me and MS products, and I haven't bought any MS product with Activation in it.

The rest of the world didn't, and MS decided to push it up a notch.

This isn't the first time, and it won't be the last, until people finally say "enough."
