yeah, but that doesn't help the IT department
I agree, home users should definitely deserve what they get for going through so much detail to get into something that they don't know the sender, or recognize the attachments. What happens when say, a company has an idiot user who opens it, it infects the workstation, the server, etc.? I know that I make certain to post an email company wide to let people know not to open attachments from people they don't know, or even addresses they do not know. I do this every time a new virus that could run rampant through our network if caught. It definitely would not be my fault that we were infected, it would be the user, but I bet the user wouldn't catch all the blame of course, some of that will STILL come back on me, because I have users that have either:
a)dropped on their heads too many times as a child
b)should have been strangled at birth
and
c)couldn't find their way out of a wet paper sack.

I think maybe I should just shutdown all outside email completely and allow only internal emails to be sent through the server, that might help with the problem, even if they don't like it.
