The phishing sites are so obvious
The message that I got was so riddled with grammatical errors charactaristic of speakers of asiatic languages, that it is inconceiveable for me that anyone could fall prey to it. Doesn't anyone read anything anymore? Especially requests for sensitive personal information. The e-mail that I got addressed me by name and used the graphic from the PayPal site. It arrived after I posted an item for sale and forgot to block non-US bidders. The buyer bid my item up to 3 times its estimated market value then requested that I show proof of shipping to Nigeria before payment was released. What a crock.
