For the record...
I'm using Excel 2004 on a Mac for productive work, and I'm not complaining. There's no problem here.

I dunno anything about any cults...all of us around here are just getting our work done. Some of us use Windows...runnng in Virtual PC, of course. We have zero mail apps and zero browsers running in Windows...in fact no Windows virtual machine has any connection to the Internet. We let Mac OS X apps handle that. We don't have any security problems with Windows, and we don't have any complaints.
