Why use a 3rd party client side screening tool at all?
One that would have a need to grab your address book?

At work we use server side email screen to kill anything unapproved from getting past. The only 'spam' I get is from vendors who are on our approved list. And, from what I understand from our mail admin, it can be adjusted on an individual basis.

At home, I have 5 different mail accounts. The ones with my main ISP and my website ISP are well screened there and only a few spams leak through. My MSN spam bucket I've used for almost 10 years gets a ton of spam and other unwanted stuff but I filter them out using the build-in rules engine within Outlook Express.

Now, if it screwed up server side screening or screening within Outlook itself it would be a different story, but this doesn't appear to be the case.
