It's the stack
Everything MS does is the "stack" mentality. Try this, then call that procedure, then another until something works. One of the reasons they're such bloatware.

It's now so bloated that fixing one thing will break something else. A Navy contractor...EDS...tanked the Navy's mail servers by installing a patch. ZOT! Gone. Fixed many, many SQL servers that disappeared when security patches were applied.

Their own software is too bloated to keep straight anymore. But, don't worry, Longbone will be a revolution in computing! All your problems will be fixed. Totally secure! Intelligent, seamless, trustworthy computing at last! Just hang on for 2...3...4 more years tops! HAHAHAHA! MS loooooohoooossseerrrrs.
