A different opinion
I have a different view on this story. I have twin boys who are six years old and they love to go to our neighborhood McDs, primarily because of the playland. It is not unusual for us to spend an hour or two there on a weeknight or Saturday morning. Currently, I take a book or newspaper with me to kill time while the kiddos play. I would LOVE to be able to surf the 'Net, either for pleasure, or to get some work done while the kids play. And I'm not alone. It is not uncommon for me to see moms and dads sitting in the playland with their PDA, daytimer, or even laptop. Count me as a supporter of Super Sized WiFi! Unfortunately, I doubt that my surburban neighborhood McDonalds will be high on the list for outfitting with access. But you can be sure that if any McDs in the area were to add this service, I would be likely to drive a little farther when the kids were wanting their Golden Arches...
