lunch is a break from work... all of.
Americans work too much as it is. Why do they need to work on their lunch break? And to concur with another reader, yes!, who wants to ruin their keyboard with greasy frenchfries and hamburgers? This just goes to show that McDonalds is still way off the mark and the real way for this corporation to show cunning ingenuity is by ceasing to use technology to speed up the process of making food but rather using it to improve the quality and nutrition of it for those customers who can't seem to figure out why they can't keep the weight off when they eat it.
