Therein lies the problem...

instead of waiting until technology can produce non-interfering BPL, the FCC and the power companies are ramrodding BPL in it's current form which has been banned in other countries where it has interfered greatly with HF communications. When it's up and running here, and it begins to cause interference, it will be shut down. Read what those in the know have written to the FCC.
