Follow the money!
You guys are missing the whole point!!

This [expletive deleted] apparently didn't take a dime from the
people he scammed. He was in the business of harvesting
personal information which he then sold "to agents of legitimate
companies."

These "legitimate companies" are the real criminals. They are
financing the spamming.

If I hire a hit man to bump off somebody, I am as guilty of
murder as the hit man himself. We need to send a message to all
of the companies who hired him -- like jail time for anyone who
pays someone else to spam.
