Actually I think you are wrong
The corporate view of Linux is that it is purely a tool. Hacking and Napsterish behavior is the domain of Microsoft software. It's actually why we have such a strict computer usage policy here at work because of that perception of Windows software.

Linux is looked at as too restrictive though by most people. They don't like how locked down it can get. At least with Windows they can make up bogus arguments on why they, the users, should have admin rights.
