- Remember when their was diversity?
- Remember when there was like dozens of vendors selling all sorts of tools for Windows? Like zip utilities, web browsers, disk defragmers, video players, yada, yada, yada. Sure, you can still find a handful of them at places like Tucows or CNET's own Download.com. Oh, the good ole days. Now, thanks to Microsoft, you will receive a locked in operating system + packaged software (you can't uninstall) that is equal but no better than anyone elses. You can have the same Vista eXPerience just like everyone else. Maybe they should lock down the background and font controls too to prevent someone from being different? Welcome everyone to the future of monoculture!
