``Nah...
Think about it Carl. He's right. And if the Terrorists hadn't flown those planes into those buildings (and killed 3,000+ people), we wouldn't be upgrading our national security standards like we are now.
So EVERY DAY I thank God that it happened!
{Yes. It's sarcasm. I am greatly disturbed by people that think 'hackers' are good for security.}''
Thank you for your illuminating point. I guess you never used firestone tires. The accidents with these tires are horrible consequences of the inadequacy of the tires to SAFELY carry a vehicle. Nobody NEEDS horrible things to happen but they DO if you merrily keep on using products that are unsafe.
Do you blame the consequence when the real reason is the defects in a product? Who are to blame? The user of the product or the manufacturer? Aren't tires supposed to be capable to provide safe rides if used as expected? Aren't manufacturers supposed to sell products that can MEET their EXPECTED requirements?
The fact that unfortunate people SUFFERED from the manufacturers criminal negligence FORCED the manufacturer to CORRECT the defects and brought focus to safety. Unfortunately, the manufacturer had received many reports on their tires BUT fail to address the problems until lives were lost. Isn't hard to guess that a tire that disintegrates at high speeds may eventually kill passengers?
The defects on ms windows has not caused catastrophic failures YET, but there were many cases it came close: the US Navy ship getting immobilized in the sea, the BMW incidents and the Ohio Nuclear Plant shut-down.
Nobody needs bad things to happen. Bad things WILL happen as long as callous manufactureres put profit ahead of everything and expose people to real danger.
Yes it is very lame to do address an obvious problem only AFTER something bad takes place.
Did you know that ms windows are so lame in security before? I didn't. Did MS know that? They must have, otherwise they are terribly clueless. Did they have to do somethings about it? This is up to you to answer. Think though of firestone. Did they have to do something about it before the fatal incidents?
