Others here have very clearly expressed their reasons for the objections. Do you not read anyone else's comments?

Now I would like to add another reason.
As honest people, you and I would report a crime to the police.
An unscrupulous person prefers to use such information as blackmail, thereby controlling the person who has committed the crime.
Cults know the power of this tactic. It is rumored that one cult got religious tax exempt status using it.
Washington insiders know the power of this tactic.Notice how corrupt stooges are kept in power until they "disobey", whereupon the book is thrown at them. (Some wives of military officers claim the tactic is more widely used than you would ever believe.)
