If you believe that this will help catch terrorist, fraudsters, tax
evasion, etc, you're very sadly mistaken. It won't even hardly
help catch child pornographers. Further it will get MASSIVELY
expensive to retain the sort of data we ISPs already retain for the
timeframes mentioned. We're talking atleast doubling your
current internet, telephone, and cable bills.

The NSA, CIA, FBI, and local law enforcement already have WAY
more data than they can possibly process. Further, computer
logs are rarely admissable in court, since they're easily doctored,
or just plain wrong.
