What about the numbers too?
Further more, what about numbers eh!?

How many cases of child pornography? Of those how many had
requests sent to ISPs, of those how many were fulfilled, not
fulfilled? Of the ones fulfilled, did the investigator feel like it
helped? Of the ones not, is it the missing link? How helpful *IS*
this data?

There are no numbers out there on any of this as far as I can
tell. There's nothing behind either claim, the only claims that
hold water are the very legitimate fears of increased risk of
privacy invasion, and the very legitimate massive real world cost
of retaining such stunningly massive amounts of data.
